Qualitest has announced that Nobia has selected it to assist it with its IT Transformation program. Nobia is in the middle of a major SAP S/4HANA migration project that will see it transform its business processes across Europe. Qualitest will provide quality assurance and testing solutions and services during the project.
Nobia is a leading manufacturer of kitchens in Europe. It has around 6,300 employees and net sales of SEK 13 billion and thirteen production units across six countries in Europe. This is just the latest project that will see Nobia deliver innovative technology within its business. It recently implemented Capgemini’s 3D modeller to improve the in-store experience.
Its SAP S/4HANA project is a major undertaking and not without risks. By choosing to embed quality through the process it will hope to mitigate some of those risks. David Thorne, CIO of Nobia commented: “We chose Qualitest to serve as our QA partner of choice as we migrate to SAP S/4HANA because we wanted an independent team who could, from the very planning stage, help us embed quality into everything we do.”
Enterprise Times: What does this mean
Quality Assurance should form part of any IT project. Piotr Wisniewskil, Red Solutions believes it is critical. He commented in a blog (and well worth a read): “Quality assurance is a critical part of the international SAP rollout project and the project team should evaluate at regular intervals whether the targeted business objectives will be achieved within the planned timeline and budget.”
In employing Qualitest Nobia will look to ensure that its project remains on track through its life. With the failure percentage of projects high, this agreement should help to lessen that risk of failure. The proof will be in the successful delivery of the project across Nobia. Companies should always consider whether testing is enough. There are many facets to quality assurance and applied correctly through the project life it can make a significant difference.
