SAP has announced the completion of its acquisition of Qualtrics. The deal, reported in Enterprise Times was set at US$8 billion. There is no indication that this has changed. In addition the leadership team at Qualtrics will stay in place and the brand remain, for the moment, a separate entity within SAP’s Cloud Business Unit. This is similar to SAP Concur that only recently rebranded to SAP Concur as part of the slow integration policy.  That may also happen at Qualtrics, but for the moment CEO Ryan Smith will continue to lead the business unit.

Enterprise Times: What does this mean

For SAP customers it is an exciting prospect with the CX platform that Qualtrics has developed available to them under the SAP banner. In time, there are likely to be further advantages as Qualtrics leverages the SAP technology stack such as AI.
