ProcessPro has announced that Canadian-based Kinnikinnick Foods, Inc has selected its ERP solution to support its future growth.
The gluten-free speciality food manufacturer was looking for a full ERP solution to support its operation from order entry to finished goods shipment. It required strong inventory control with traceability to meet the demands of the food industry.
Kinnikinnick is no stranger to technology and this will not be a simple implementation. Its existing solution integrates with UPS Connect Shipping software to automate the thousands of shipment documents that are required.
In a UPS case study Jerry Bigam, CEO Kinnikinnick Foods stated : “When a customer places an order on our Web site, everything happens – from payment processing, to shipping labels, to customer notification – without any human intervention. It’s all fully automated.”
When the FDA introduced new regulations requiring prior notice of food imports UPS was able to support the electronic link that Kinnikinnick created.
Improving internal operations at Kinnikinnick
It will now bring its internal operations to the same level of sophistication as its shipping processes. ProcessPro Global ERP solution will provide an integrated Warehouse Management System (WMS) and Materials Requirement Planning (MRP). It will track Inventory movements using scanners and barcodes and deliver real time information to the business. This will improve planning and procurement decisions. As a manufacturer of gluten free products includes doughnuts, cookies, breads details of ingredient allergens is critical for traceability requirements.
In addition, Kinnikinnick will implement the ProcessPro CRM to assist with lead tracking, sales and customer management. This should help Kinnikinnick expand its presence both in North America and further abroad.
