The CSP (Cloud Service Provider) market has been changing for several years. Companies that could offer cloud solutions are being undercut by their larger competitors unable to compete with the scale of Amazon, Google or Microsoft. Companies are trying to navigate their way through this market, a few are successful, one of these is Storm Internet, who recently won their third award at the ISPA (Internet Service Provider Award) ceremony.
The Storm Internet award wins also reflect the recent history of the company, the latest confirming the ethos of the company during its journey. Storm won Best Business Hosting in 2013, Best Dedicated Hosting in 2014 and most recently the Best Business Use of Cloud award.
We sat down with Salim Benadel, Founder & MD at Storm Internet Limited and one of their recent recruits Nick Stead who recently joined as Business Development Manager to discuss their journey and success. There were lessons in the conversation that other companies would do well to heed, though also signs of some choppy waters ahead. A future that Benadel seems well equipped to deal with, given the demonstration of his leadership skills to date.
