It has signed a 10 year agreement to deploy Unit4 Business World ERP, Financials, Procurement and Unit4 Prevero Financial Planning & Analytics. Unit4 will help the organisation implement the solution and update its financial management processes.

Over the last few years the Niagara Parks Commission has been updating its applications platform. It migrated to Office 365 and is now implementing the Unit 4 solution in the cloud. David Adames, CEO of the Niagara Parks Commission commented: “While we were evaluating how we could automate our legacy processes, we looked for an agile solution that would easily integrate into multiple vendor solutions to seamlessly refresh our existing financial and operational planning. We are pleased to have a solution that uncovers real-time financial and people insights so we can focus our energy on our real purpose and business objectives.”

Niagara Parks Commission is responsible for 1,325 hectares of parkland along 56 kilometres of the Niagara river corridor from Lake Erie to Lake Ontario. It is a self-financed agency of the Ontario Ministry of Tourism, Culture & Sport. In its last fiscal year, it recorded just over CAN$124 million in revenue. The organisation has around 1,700 staff, approximately 300 full time and 1,400 seasonal employees.

It is the combination of financial and people oversight that appears to have attracted the organisation to Unit4. Importantly it will also help the organisation to continue to deliver on one of its core values. The solution will especially help to enhance the transparency of its cost management.

Transparency and accountability at the root of all that we do.” Adames added: “We are pleased to have a solution that uncovers real-time financial and people insights so we can focus our energy on our real purpose and business objectives.”
